With over seventeen years of clinical experience, Dr. Alison “Ali” Gallup is a Board-Certified Orthopaedic Physical Therapist who specializes in treating all genders with pelvic floor concerns.
Alison values a one-on-one approach when treating and utilizes a combination of manual therapy, fascial mobilization, Pilates-based rehabilitation, movement science, and dry needling in her treatments. Because of her orthopedic background, Alison enjoys treating all conditions but she has a special interest in treating pelvic pain, vulvodynia/vestibulodynia, chronic prostatitis, and overactive bladder symptoms.
She values the importance of quality patient care and strives to provide an environment to optimize healthy healing and physical fitness so her patients may achieve their personal goals and have a healthy and more active lifestyle.
Alison received both her Master of Science and Doctorate of Physical Therapy degrees from Texas Woman’s University and obtained her Pilates teacher certification through Body Arts and Science International (BASI). She has extensive training in Maitland manual therapy, Pilates-based rehabilitation, Functional Dry Needling (level 1 and 2), dry needling for the pelvic floor, advanced training for complex pelvic pain, vulvodynia, male pelvic floor pain, and the holistic treatment for pregnant and postpartum patient.
She has been mentoring and clinically instructing student physical therapists for over fifteen years. She has also conducted numerous training sessions for physical therapists and Pilates instructors on the specific use of Pilates for rehabilitation and has taught as a guest lecturer at Doctorate Physical Therapy programs on pelvic floor physical therapy.
Alison treats all genders and is available at our Westerre office on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays for in-clinic and virtual appointments.
