Dr. Amanda Garnett, PT, DPT, SCS
Sports + Orthopedic + Pelvic Health PT
Dr. Amanda Garnett is a Richmond native and Board-Certified Sports Clinical Specialist who brings a rare combination of orthopedic, sports, and pelvic health expertise to every client she treats. She earned her Doctorate in Physical Therapy from VCU/MCV in 2014, launched her career in orthopedics and sports, and became certified in running gait analysis and retraining — work she expanded by volunteering with Richmond running communities. Her own experience as a pelvic health PT client sparked a passion for the specialty, and she has been integrating pelvic health into her practice ever since.
Dr. Amanda completed her pelvic floor training through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute and continues to pursue advanced coursework in pregnancy and postpartum care. She treats clients using a whole-person approach built on manual therapy, dry needling, fascial mobilization, and goal-specific exercise — always working to identify the root cause, not just the symptom. She believes the 1:1 model isn't just a preference; it's what makes real, lasting results possible.
What drives her most is watching clients return to their daily lives feeling empowered, confident, and no longer held back by pain.
Outside the clinic, Amanda runs, cooks, travels, and spends time with her husband, friends, family, and her beloved Bernese Mountain Dog.
