Dr. Carter Hayter, OTD, OTR/L
Pelvic Health Occupational Therapist
Dr Carter earned her Doctor of Occupational Therapy degree from Murphy Deming College of Health Sciences in 2024 after completing her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She has pursued additional specialized training in pelvic health through the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments (IAMT) and is committed to lifelong learning to provide compassionate, evidence-based care.
Carter is passionate about normalizing conversations surrounding pelvic health and helping individuals of all genders and gender identities feel informed, empowered, and confident in their bodies. She believes that everyone deserves to participate fully in the activities that give their lives meaning; including caring for those they love, excelling in the workplace, pursuing active hobbies, feeling comfortable during intimacy, and every moment in between. She takes a whole-person approach to care, recognizing that pelvic health concerns often affect physical function and emotional well-being. Her goal is to create a trauma-informed, supportive environment where patients feel heard, respected, and empowered throughout their care, especially with regard to concerns that are often overlooked or misunderstood.
Outside of the clinic, Carter enjoys spending time with her husband and energetic Lab/Boxer mix, crafting, baking, reading, and being active.
