Orthopedic + Pelvic Health Physical Therapist

Dr. Sarah Blecher PT, DPT lives in the Richmond area with her husband, daughter, and dog. She enjoys the beach and mountains and spends most of her time outside of work with family. She loves to explore new restaurants and loves recommendations from her patients.

Sarah earned her Doctorate degree from Campbell University and her Bachelor of Science in Sports Medicine from Radford University. Sarah has received additional clinical training through direct mentorship and post-doctoral education courses hosted by the Institute of Advanced Musculoskeletal Treatments and Spinning Babies.

She treats patients from adolescence through adulthood who experience urinary or fecal incontinence, pelvic and vulvar pain, dysmenorrhea, constipation; patients who are pregnant, postpartum, or going through IUI/IVF; and patients who have undergone prostatectomy. She has a love for orthopedic conditions and enjoys showing how the pelvis is interconnected to many other conditions such as TMJ, lower back, and hip pain.

She has taught pregnancy education classes, mentors students, and contributed to the Pelvic Health section of the APTA, which detailed the importance of Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy during the 4th Trimester.

Sarah is passionate about creating a safe environment for people to receive quality care. Her goal is for patients to return to all the activities they love, without any hindrances or issues. Her favorite aspect of physical therapy is empowering patients through education of their own bodies.
