Maria Dorazio, PT, DPT

Pelvic Health Physical Therapist

Maria recently moved to the Richmond area from Philadelphia with her husband, Nick, and her chocolate lab, Lola. Maria found her love for movement growing up as a competitive gymnast and currently enjoys staying active through strength training, hiking, and running.

Maria earned her Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition Foods and Exercise from Virginia Tech (Go Hokies!) in 2016. She attended Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia where she earned her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2020. Maria was able to have one of her clinical rotations in pelvic health during her time at Thomas Jefferson, and after her clinical experience, she knew it was a specialty she wanted to pursue. Maria received direct clinical mentorship and post-doctoral education through Herman and Wallace Pelvic Rehab Institute and APTA Academy of Pelvic Health Physical Therapy.

She treats patients with pelvic health and/or orthopedic conditions including urinary/fecal incontinence, interstitial cystitis, pelvic organ prolapse, constipation, pelvic, hip, and low back pain, diastasis recti, and pain or difficulty with sexual intercourse. Maria has a passion for treating pregnant and post-partum women, empowering and supporting them through a new chapter in their lives. She values working together with her patients through a team approach to help them get back to living their best lives, pain and symptom free.
